Practicing the Presence of God

Thank you LORD for your Love and Mercies and Justice and Discernment

Jesus is the answer!

“How precious it is, Lord, to realize that You are thinking about me constantly! I can’t even count how many times a day Your thoughts turn towards me. And when I waken in the morning, You are still thinking of me!” (Psalm 139:17,18).

Our sons, Zac and Brad, have helped me to understand, in some small measure, the truth of this promise, for in the course of a single day, I will lift them up in prayer many times. I am finite, but God is infinite. My love for our sons is limited, but his love is inexhaustible and unconditional. It is because of God’s love in my heart that I am able to love my sons unconditionally, even as He loves me.

What a comforting, encouraging thought, that the omnipotent Creator, God, who possesses all power and control of creation, loves me enough that He is constantly thinking about…

Google Glass in Libraries – Disruption or just Disruptive?

not Cool The teacher is Not pleased

LibrarianShipwreck

Libraries are highly technological places. From books to microfilm readers to computers – a library that is free of technology is an oxymoron. Granted, there is a difference between a library being a highly technological place and a library being a high-tech place.

The technologies that one finds in a library are a reflection of a variety of intersecting needs and goals, paramount amongst them: ensuring access to informational resources. Books represent a rather ideal technology for these purposes as they are relatively inexpensive, easy to use, and it is simple to pass a book along from one person to another. As more information has shifted online (from the library catalog, to government information, to job/school applications) libraries have shifted space to make room for banks of computers – and though a patron cannot truly “check out” a computer, libraries recognize that access to a computer represents access to information…

SAN FRANCISCO TO STRAIGHTEN CROOKEDEST STREET

no way(s)
🙂

The Adobo Chronicles

Sam Francisco's Crookedest Street Sam Francisco’s Crookedest Street

San Francisco, California (The Adobo Chronicles) – A visit to San Francisco is never complete without photo opportunities by the Golden Gate Bridge, Coit Tower, TransAmerica Building, Alcatraz, Fisherman’s Wharf and of course, The Crookedest Street.

The famed Lombard Street section is famous for having a steep, one-block stretch that consists of eight tight hairpin turns. On either side of the street are homes that are probably among the top prized real estate in the City by the Bay.

Starting this summer, the city will close the street to weekend vehicular traffic in what it is calling an “experiment” to reduce congestion in the area and to provide the millionaire home owners a reprieve from the unending stream of vehicles navigating the brick pavement for the experience of a lifetime. (Apparently, many have not heard of Zigzag Road in the Philippines, leading up to the mountain…

Nuclear Reactor(s) and The Periodic Table

What do you all think of the recent Disaster in Japan, the Nuclear Reactor in Fukushima, Fukushima Japan blew to pieces and projected billions of tiny nuclear particulates into the World and the Pacific Ocean.

Be careful of the hype on The End of humanity, totally unnecessary, pay attention to the attitude of the Japanese [resilience]

the Attitude and the Fate of the Japanese polity! [thoughts, comments, perspective]

Ukraine [28 YRS ago] wow almost 30 YRS

Fukushima was in March, Chernobyl was in April [next month], and it was 25 YRS apart, man that’s creepy The Doomsday clock [still] ticks.

Very interesting how Soviet Russia capped and cleaned the area as soon as it was reported to Authorities in The Ukraine
[which is unfortunately going through a Revolution right now, a Bloody French Revolution ((similar in depth, but totally different in reason))
I mean if The Ukraine was contaminated and declared a No Go Zone, what do you all think will happen to Japan and the people there?!!
Shocks me yet humbles me, seeing how the Japanese are taking the disaster, oh they are mad I am sure, but the way they continue their lives [schedule of life] really inspires me!

I mean I know the New World Order is real and totally in it for the $$ $$ $$, Sex, Women, and drug(s), but that is Politics is it not?

Just too much to handle and understand at this point, I mean our Parents’ generational marker for The Doomsday clock was Chernobyl, for my generation it is Fukushima Daiichi.

Published! The Psychological Impact of Clothing

add Sociology snitches!!

The Joy of Blogs

Hey everyone! This is an article I wrote for The Fair Magazine and an edited version is published on their site (www.thefairmagazine.com). At the moment the site is down but should be back up by the 18th! So until then here is the full version of my article on the psychological impact of clothing. I loved writing it as it combined both fashion knowledge and what I learned in my psychology degree. The degree is finally used for something other than lighting the fire ! 😛

The Psychological Impact of Clothing

It is interesting to consider how what we wear affects us on the inside as well as on the outside. If we have a great night out in a new outfit, the pleasure associated with the outfit is likely to make us wear it again and again. People often refer to items of clothing as their “lucky jeans” and…
